1. What type of security do you use on your
site?
Answer: ShuttersAndVents.com orders are
sent over the Internet using PGP encryption. PGP provides protection against
anyone eavesdropping on the network. Even if the information is intercepted,
it is completely unreadable to the snooper.
2. Will the shutters deteriorate when exposed to sunlight?
Answer: The polypropylene material used in our siding
accessories is UV stabilized to resist deterioration, but will fade
over a very long period of time.
3. What is the warranty from ShuttersAndVents.com?
Answer: Our products have a Limited Lifetime Warranty.
Conditions of Sale
1. Acceptance of Orders
All orders will be accepted, subject to our availability to furnish
materials, and may be revoked by us after acceptance due to accidents,
fires, stoppage of labor or any other condition beyond our control.
All orders accepted are subject to our ability to obtain materials
and to prices in effect at the time of the shipment. Prices are
subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to correct
prices posted to the site in error.
2. Delivery
All deliveries are made by third-party delivery firms. We have no
control over their schedules or their timing. Your representative
must be at the delivery site to inspect and verify the materials.
In those cases where the truck cannot be unloaded due to conditions
within the customer's control, the customer will forfeit the delivery
fee and pay a new delivery fee if subsequent delivery is desired.
3. Return Policy
General Requirements
No returns or exchanges will be permitted on special orders. Legitimate
returns (subject to a 20% handling charge) must be authorized in
writing and meet the following conditions:
- Accompanied by a Sales Receipt
- Item is in "like new" condition
- Purchase must have occurred within 30 days
Fill out an inquiry form to return your
item and wait until you hear from us. Take care to include all the
information available to you including product ordered, reason for
return, whether or not you opened the box, and any other questions
or concerns you may have. You will receive a Return Goods Authorization
(RGA) number. Never ship back any item until you have an RGA number.
When returning the item, write "RGA#" on the outside of
the box.
If the box is unopened
- Fill out an inquiry form and wait
to receive an RGA number.
- We will fully refund you for any non-special order unopened
item for any reason (shipping cost not refunded).
- You will be responsible for the return shipping of non-defective
products.
- Returns of non-defective products are subject to a 20% handling
charge.
If the box is opened and the item is not defective
- Fill out an inquiry form and wait
to receive an RGA number.
- Item must be in "like new" condition, in original
packaging with the packing slip, all warranty cards, manuals,
instructions and accessories.
- You will be responsible for the return shipping of non-defective
products.
- Returns of non-defective products are subject to a 20% handling
charge.
If the box is opened and the item is defective
- We stand by the quality of our products. All defective products
may be returned for a replacement (when available).
- Items that are damaged from shipping are NOT to be returned
to us. Note the shipping damage and take up a claim with
the shipping company immediately.
- Fill out an inquiry form and we will
work with you to determine what should be done. Take care to detail
exactly what is wrong with the product.
- Returns of non-defective products are subject to a 20% handling
charge.
Terms
No sales will be entered unless there is an exact match for credit
card billing information. We reserve the right to correct any extension,
pricing or specification errors on any accepted orders or estimates.
Storage
Any goods returned as undeliverable by the shipping company will
be charged Storage until they can be redelivered (at an additional
delivery charge).
Warranties
We will expedite manufacturer's limited warranties on those products
so covered, for a period of up to one year from date of purchase
if the warranty so permits. Product warranties cover parts only.
Installation, painting or staining, finishing, delivery and removal
labor are not included.
